Dear seyi,

Hello friend. Hope you feeling good about yourself , life and the potential that’s within you. Have had a very interesting month so far, and it’s just reminded me of the fact that life is full of challenges and opportunities.
Have you noticed how, every single time you are presented with an opportunity, not long after that a challenge shows up.
I believe most of us miss out on great opportunities because we either not ready or willing to take on the challenge due to many factors, some of which i will be sharing with you shortly.

In this Issue:

Article Item 1: Fear Article Item 2: Organised Planing Article Item 3: Obstacles

Wishing you much success,

Seyi Eyiteyo

Article Item 1

Fear is a big part of life and there is no point trying to ignore it or pretend it does not exist. We all have our personal fears which i guess is all part of the human condition. The key to overcoming our fears, is to face it head on and stop runing from it.

I once read an article by a famous writer which read.

“Do the thing you fear the most and the fear will vanish”

Interesting statement.

I believe fear can serve us for good and at the same time hold us back and keep us in situations, enviroment that we really don’t want to be in. Most people spend their life’s worrying about what could go wrong should they decide to go beyond the norm.

Fear has someone once said is simply;

False Evidence Apprearing Real.

So how do we deal with our fears?

To start with you’ve got to identify what your fear is and ask yourself is it based on truth or opinion. So for example if you’ve always dreamt of runing your own business but you scared of stepping out because you might fail, so you didn’t.

Now the question you’ve got to ask yourself is this:

What is the worst thing that can happen, and can i deal with it ?

This simple question will help you deal with your fear because, once you acknowledge the worst that can happen and are prepared or willing to deal with it,you will discover your fears will just dissapear.

To summarise:

Whenever you feel scared of achieving that which you want from life, ask yourself is this fear based on fact or is it just my opinion.

2, Ask yourself if you are willing and able to deal with the worst case scenario should something go wrong.

This two simple but powerful question will help you build courage and control your fears.

Article Item2

It has being said that thomas A. Edison failed 10,000 times before he perfected the incadescent electric light bulb. That means, he failed 10,000 times before he was able to achieve success.

That’s amazing by anyone’s standards, and i think there is alot to learn from Mr Thomas A. Edison about failure and success.

1,Thomas A. Edison failed but he did not quit, he simply re-visited and amended is plan

2,He did not blame anyone for his failure.

Sometimes when we plan and nothing comes out of it, we are quick to throw in the towel becasue we tend to beleive there must be something wrong with us, or maybe we just not good enough.

Well the truth of the matter is that no matter how intelligent you may think you are, you will meet with defeat at some point in your life, especially when you set out on new territory.

You need to see defeat as a warning signal that your plans were not as sound as you hoped. When faced with defeat, you need to stop , find out what did not work and rebuild those plans and move forwrd once more towards your goals.

Don’t be tempted to quit when faced with defeat because the satisfaction you get from succeeding will far out weigh the temporaily feeling of defear.

“A QUITTER NEVER WINS-AND A WINNER NEVER QUITS”

Article Item 3

Obstacles come in different shapes and sizes. Some obstacles are small and others are big. The size of the obstacle is not what matters it’s the size of you that makes the difference.

Whenever you set out to accomplish something new, you will face an obstacle it’s just the way life is. Unfortunately many people have had great ideas and plans which they never realised due to the obstacles faced.

Naturally our default mode as human’s is to quit when the going get’s tough. We would naturally prefer the path of least resistance, but the sad reality of choosing that path is that we reamin ordinary instead of becoming extraordinary.

What obstalces are in your way/

Interesting questions isn’t?

Well some of the most common are parents, friends, relatives, teacher and preacher. In actual fact some of these people actually mean well but they just can’t help themsleves when they offer you bad advice which helps to inject a bit of fear and discourasgement into you.

You see those who make you feel you can’t achieve something are not bad people, they have just become a product of their enviroment.

Whenever you fee like you starting to sdoubt yourself i want you to please stop for a minute and quote the following statement;

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”

Obstacles are part of life and always will be, but the question is how are you reacting to life’s obstacles. Do you throw in the towel, do you fight on, do you hide or do you face your obstacles head on and smash your way through it.

Success is always behind every hardship, every obstacle.

The key is to focus on the potential success and keep moving toward your goal.

We all know obstacles are hard, obstacles hurt, obstacles can make us feel overwhelmed, but please do remember every obstacle can be overcomed

In closing i would like you to leave you with this powerful quote;

You Must Not Quit

“When things go wrong, as they sometime will,
when the road you are trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile, but have to sigh,
rest if you must but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with it’s twist and turns,
as every one of us sometimes learns.
And many a fellow turns about when he might have won, had they stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out.
The silver tint of the clouds of doubts,
and you never can tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit ”
