How do you see their cars? Luxury, utility, cheap? A first-time car or a more established purchase? Biggest quality; biggest fault?

I’m writing a report on this and figure some feedback from normal people would help more than databank figures.

My opinion is that they are a cheap company that is struggling and in an attempt to profit they are trying to produce there cars cheaper by sacrificing quality.

just my opinion.

Japanese garbage. Support your friends and neighbors…buy American.

Help our economy, help keep our country strong and our people economically free.
There is nothing wrong with Mitsubishi, but please remember you are an American, help Americans first. Their are many well made American cars. Please consider this point of view.

The Mitsubishi Corp. used U.S. POW’s as slave laborers during WWII. They worked them at hard labor and fed them a diet calculated to starve them to death in six months time. When they didn’t move fast enough or die quickly enough they beat them to death or beheaded them. Mitsubishi refused to compensate any of the survivors or the dead mens family’s once they became profitable gain after the war. They have constantly refused to offer so much as an apology for their actions. I would never purchase a Mitsubishi product, whether it is a car, stereo, TV or any thing else they make. This is not a rant against Japanese cars or the Japanese people, my wife is Japanese and I have driven Japanese cars. It’s the cold heartedness of Mitsubushi that I have a problem with.

My first new car was an Eclipse. I loved it. It never gave me a problem. I kept it 10 years, then traded it in.

Ok, a few things, mitsubihi was part of the damilercrysler group, Many misubishis and all of the eclipses are built in the United States by American workers in Normal Illinois. The 1st and 2nd eclipse were also built as plymoth lasers and eagle talons, many refer to this grouping as DSM’s= Diamond star motors. Also misubishi made the dodge stealth. Even today Mitsubishi shares many parts from chrysler.
Ok, As a brand- the majorty of the cars I see as entry to mid level, but I think stylish, for someone that wants to step out from the crowd insted of driving a honda or toyota. In fact the eclipse is the number one seling sport compact of all time. Another side of Misubishi is cheap speed, like the Lancer Evolution a car that can run with a corvette or porsche for as much as 20,000 less then those cars. But with such speed comes some relablity problems. So summing up- cheap speed with a few problems and stylish cars.

They are the number one company in Japan.
They do not concentrate on making luxury cars. They are cheap and practical. They are also fun to drive and they make some fast cars.

its a pretty good company.

I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT and it didn’t give me any problems yet. I also have a Mitsubishi Widescreen Television which gave me some display problems but after one month, it fixed itself.

i don’t know why Mitsubishi is kind of down there, it should be keeping up with Honda, Nissan and Toyota. I think the main reason is because of cost. For example, Mitsubishi Lancer is compared to Honda Civic, Toyota Carolla, Toyota Matrix and Nissan Sentra…the base Mitsubishi Lancer costs a grand or two more than the base Civic, Carolla, Matrix and Sentra. But I would always go with a Mitsubishi because they are known for modifications and stylish cars with sporty looks and extreme performance.

Another great thing about Mitsubishi is that Mitsubishi always kept up with its name in the tuner world. Toyota had the Supra but currently, they are not producing any sports car. Honda had the NSX, S2000 and Prelude but they discontinued and S2000 has low power and is 35000 dollars for a 230hp car whereas you can get a fully loaded 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT with every single feature possible (which i have) and 260bhp for 34000 after taxes. Mitsubishi also makes the Lancer Evolution which competes with european supercars that cost 30 grand more than a 30000 dollar evolution, isn’t that nice? Nissan and Subaru are the only Japanese companies to keep up with Mitsubishi with their Infiniti G35 and their new Infiniti G37, 350Z and the Impreza WRX, Impreza WRX STI. Nissan also had high performance cars produced in the late 80’s and 90s with their 240SX, 300ZX but didn’t Mitsubishi also have that with their 3000GTs and early Lancer Evolutions, and those classic first and second generations Eclipses.

The only thing which is keeping Mitsubishi down is that other companies offer a lot of features for the same price in any department. Panasonic makes better 1080p TVs than Mitsubishi. Honda makes Civics with a lot more features than the Lancers. But it’s all supply and demand. They are not making enough profit so they have to increase their prices which causes them to go down even further. If only the average American consumer purchases Mitsubishi products then Mitsubishi would be competing with the major car companies like toyota, nissan, honda and subaru and sony, panasonic and samsung as well.

hope this helps with your report

They are a failing company who would have to change their whole lineup to succeed. they have a line of vehicles that do not compete with even GM or Ford in any way.

inexpensive, really fun cars to drive!!! sports cars for all ages N most of all mitsubishi cars, what ever model you’re driving ( mirage, eclipse, 3000gt, EVOs) they have aftermarket upgrades to horsepower performance, appearance styling, drive comfortability. these cars are so fun to drive you won’t regret owning one. 4G63 baby!
